INTRODUCING … ad hoc buyers' circle Who we are and what we do ...
ad hoc buyers' circle, more easily referred to as "abc" is a division of ad hoc America, Inc. a "for profit" corporation, having been incorporated in PA in May 1977.
The philosophy behind abc is that it will engage exclusively in "socially responsible marketing of unique goods and services". In implementing this philosophy, abc promotes only quality products and services which are not available through typical retail outlets. They must in some way promote better health and/or a higher quality of life and also provide added benefits, such as discounts due to lower overhead, an ongoing funding source for organizations and groups and business opportunities for individuals.
One of abc's roles is that of aiding worthwhile non-profit groups and other organizations. This can be realized through abc's "fundsourcing" program under which a group or organization agrees to permit abc or an affilate to solicit its members, supporters or employees to purchase products and/or services. Under this program, each time a purchase is made and credited to the organization, a donation is realized.
Since abc's products and services are intended to appeal to a broad public sector and to promote repeated purchases and use, it follows that over time a participating organization can establish a new, recurring revenue source. In these times of budget cut-backs and other constraints, this program can provide a much needed "win-win" opportunity for all concerned.
Incidentally, the fundsourcing program just outlined is on file with the PA Department of State's Bureau of Charitable Organizations and has been determined to be an acceptable "commercial co-venturer" program, not unlike the annual Mc Donalds promotion of green milkshakes for charity around St. Patrick's Day.
